About LPD&F
Linwood Preservation District & Friends is an incorporated IRS 501(c)3 membership based community organization in the City of Buffalo. New York. Our organization's purpose dates back to the 1978 designation of our neighborhood as the Linwood Historic Preservation District by the City of Buffalo.
Our Mission – To Preserve, Protect, and Enhance Our Historic Neighborhood.
Our Accomplishments To Date

Developed long– and short-term plans for our historic district and public projects

Initiated the repaving and reconfiguration of Linwood Avenue to a single lane with dedicated bike lanes

Maintain close relationships with city and police officials.

Funded and planted more than 200 trees and four neighborhood gardens.

Expanded Historic Preservation District to include all of Linwood Avenue, from North to West Delevan.

Re-established the gardens and host our annual summer concert at Sisti Park

Biennial Tour of Homes.

Host social gatherings; yard sales; kids’ play dates; and periodic cleanups

Recruited block captains . . . Monitor problem properties

Vice President Erin St. John Kelly is a writer and editor who has lived in a much loved historic home on Linwood Avenue with her family since 2010. She has been vice president of the Historic Linwood Preservation District & Friends since January of 2019.
